Just after 12 noon this afternoon firefighters from Branchville along with firefighters from near-by companies were dispatched to 6227 Springhill Ct. Springhill Lake Apartments (now known as Empirian Village for smoke in the building
First arriving companies reported an electrical panel on fire in the basement area of a three-story garden style apartment building,
Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish fire, but due to extensive damage to the electrical panel, 176 people were displaced.
